Missouri has picked up a commitment from Evansville transfer Dru Smith.

He took an official visit to Columbia this week and had received interest from numerous other schools, including Nebraska, Purdue, Virginia Tech, and Xavier.

The 6-1 guard averaged 13.7 points and 4.6 assists per game this past season.

He was also extremely efficient from the floor in shooting 57.8 percent from the field and 48.2 percent from 3-point range.

Due to NCAA transfer rules, Smith will be forced to sit out the 2018-19 season and will have two years of eligibility remaining.

This is one of several new additions for Cuonzo Martin and company as the team landed Illinois transfer Mark Smith, who will also sit out next season.

Martin will add two freshmen to the mix as well, with 4-star shooting guard Torrence Watson and 3-star point guard Xavier Pinson both set to join the roster.

The Tigers went 20-13 overall this season and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in five years.
