Diante Smith, a rising wing in the 2019 recruiting class, has received offers from Alabama and Mississippi State.

Smith picked up interest from both SEC schools on Saturday, as they join a host of other programs that have turned their focus to the 6-6 swingman from Fort Walton Beach, Fla.

Cincinnati and UMass also offered him on Saturday, with Seton Hall, Dayton, Virginia Tech, and Kansas State offering over the past week.

Smith is one of many players that the two SEC programs are chasing in next year’s class.

Alabama continues to focus its efforts on two priority targets in 5-star small forward Trendon Watford and 4-star point guard Kira Lewis, while also keeping a close eye on players like Drew Timme (TX) and Jaykwon Walton (AL).

As for Ben Howland and company, they’re trying to use the momentum from their highly-talented 2018 class to keep things rolling in the 2019 group.

Mississippi State has also targeted Walton, as well as 6-10 power forward Moulaye Sissoko, who is currently garnering a ton of interest on the recruiting trail.

The Tide finished 20-16 this past season and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, while the Bulldogs won 25 games and advanced to the final four of the NIT.
