Video: South Carolina forward Brian Bowen participates at NBA combine

South Carolina forward Brian Bowen was one of several SEC players to participate at the 2018 NBA combine in New York City, with the freshman taking part in a scrimmage game.

Bowen sat out for the Gamecocks this past season after transferring from Louisville following the FBI’s investigation into college basketball.

He was cleared of any wrongdoing, but ultimately decide to transfer from the program and join Frank Martin’s team in Columbia. His eligibility status for next season is not yet known, which led him to declare for the draft and not sign with an agent.

Should he decide to return to school, he has until May 30 to withdraw from the draft process.

Bowen is a former 5-star recruit that was ranked by 247Sports as the No. 5 small forward and No. 19 overall player in the 2017 recruiting class.

The Gamecocks finished 17-16 overall this past season.
