Josiah James, a 5-star point guard in the 2019 class, has narrowed his list to nine schools, with two SEC teams making the cut.

Both Tennessee and South Carolina are included among the final group, as is Arizona, Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Kansas, Michigan State, and Virginia.

The Charleston native received a visit from Tennessee back in mid-April.

According to 247Sports, James ranks as the top point guard and No. 12 overall player in the 2019 class.

The Vols already have two commits for next year’s class in 3-star forwards Drew Pember and Davonte Gaines.

South Carolina has one commitment, as 6-2 point guard Trae Hannibal committed to the school in early June.
