Vanderbilt still in the mix for 2019 forward Majok Deng

Vanderbilt is one of 12 teams that remain in the mix for 2019 forward Majok Deng.

The 6-5 small forward trimmed his list on Saturday, with Bryce Drew’s team being the only one from the SEC to make the cut after extending an offer last November.

Arizona, Duke, Georgia Tech, Ohio State, and UCLA are among the other teams to make Deng’s list.

According to 247Sports, he ranks as the No. 5 player in Arizona and No. 35 small forward in the 2019 class.

Vanderbilt currently has no commitments in next year’s class.

The Commodores compiled a top-15 class for 2018 in adding 5-star prospects Darius Garland and Simi Shittu, and 4-star wing Aaron Nesmith.
