Davis takes over after spending 16 seasons at Middle Tennessee.
He led the Blue Raiders to back-to-back NCAA Tournament wins in 2016 and 2017, and will now look to lead the Rebels back up the SEC ladders.
Ole Miss has made the tournament just twice since 2002.
