Vanderbilt guard Darius Garland will be sidelined indefinitely after suffering a meniscus tear in his left knee during the team’s 77-75 loss to Kent State on Friday.

The 6-2 freshman played less than two minutes against the Golden Flashes before leaving the game to go back to the locker room.

He leads the Commodores with 16.2 points per game while playing 27.8 minutes per game this season.

Garland is currently projected to be a first-round pick in the 2019 NBA draft.

Sophomore guard Saben Lee will likely take over the point guard duties for Bryce Drew’s team, as they’ll look to bounce back from their first loss when they host Savannah State on Nov. 27.
