SEC Basketball Predictions: Ole Miss vs. Chattanooga

It was a successful Saturday for the SEC, as the conference finished 8-1 in a lineup of games that featured plenty of competitive matchups.

There is only one team in action on Sunday, with Ole Miss returning to the court in hopes of capturing its fifth straight victory.

Let’s get to the picks.

Season Predictions Record (straight up): 98-24

Chattanooga at Ole Miss – 6 p.m. EST, SEC Network

The Rebels have really played some good basketball early on this season, and the preseason projections that placed them at the bottom of the SEC standings may be a bit off.

As for the Mocs, they’re still rebuilding in Lamont Paris’ second year on the job, but they are coming off a solid outing in a 95-88 loss at Georgia State earlier in the week.

But the problem for Chattanooga is its inability to find consistent offense to this point, with the Mocs ranking 305th nationally in 2-point field-goal percentage (44.9 percent) and 317th nationally in adjusted offensive efficiency.

When you add that to the fact that Chattanooga is also one of the least experienced teams in the country, this seems to set up well for Terence Davis and company.

The Rebels should pick up another good win.

Prediction: Ole Miss 80, Chattanooga 63
