Updated 2019 SEC basketball recruiting rankings: Kentucky and Florida lead the way

With Christmas right around the corner, teams around the SEC are set for a nice little break.

And with conference play less than two weeks away, there are plenty of coaches around the league who will try to make the necessary tweaks to have their teams ready for the grind.

But while there’s plenty of focus on this season, fans are also looking ahead to the future, which means diving into the world of recruiting.

Here’s a look at where SEC teams currently stand in the 247Sports team rankings for 2019, with 11 teams slotted in the top 50 nationally:

  • No. 9 Florida
  • No. 11 Auburn
  • No. 18 Alabama
  • No. 21 Texas A&M
  • No. 28 Tennessee
  • No. 42 Georgia
  • No. 47 Ole Miss
  • No. 48 Missouri
  • No. 49 Mississippi State
  • No. 50 Vanderbilt
  • No. 66 South Carolina
  • No. 85 LSU
  • No. 129 Arkansas

Obviously, the rankings are always changing, but it’s clear that the league continues to do extremely well on the recruiting trail due to the plethora of top-notch coaches around the SEC.

Conference play is set to get started on Jan. 5.
