The SEC is projected to land eight teams in the NCAA Tournament, but several important matchups could decide which teams take a step forward in the bubble picture.

There are three games on Wednesday’s schedule, including a showdown in Gainesville that has SEC regular season title implications.

Let’s get to the picks.

Season Predictions Record (straight up): 212-74

Missouri at Georgia – 6:30 p.m. EST, SEC Network

The Bulldogs managed to put a halt to their nine-game losing streak with a huge win at Florida, and that should serve as a big boost of confidence heading into this game.

Missouri has just one road win all season, which makes Tom Crean’s squad the better pick due to their obvious improvement in recent games.

Prediction: Georgia 69, Missouri 64

No. 10 LSU at Florida – 7 p.m. EST, ESPN2

It seems like the Gators will be a bit more focused in this one after losing to Georgia, and that makes for an interesting dynamic considering that LSU is essentially playing for the regular season crown.

The Tigers are simply one of the best road teams in the country, and given what’s at stake, they should be able to find a way to pick up the win.

Prediction: LSU 71, Florida 68

Arkansas at Vanderbilt – 8:30 p.m. EST, SEC Network

With a trip to LSU coming up on Saturday, it’s clear that the Commodores are in a must-win situation in this spot if they want to avoid going winless in conference play.

Vanderbilt had a chance to win in the previous meeting in Fayetteville, so I’ll lean towards the home team finally being able to secure to a victory.

Prediction: Vanderbilt 65, Arkansas 63
