LSU guard Javonte Smart has withdrawn from the NBA draft process and will return to school for his sophomore season.
He declared back in early April along with several other members of the team’s roster.
Smart was not projected to be drafted, but the NCAA rules allow players to go through the process before choosing whether or not to retain their college eligibility.

Fellow teammates Tremont Waters and Naz Reid have already expressed their intent to stay in the draft, with Smart’s return being a big boost for Will Wade and company.
The Tigers could also add 5-star forward Trendon Watford to the roster next season, as they are among the frontrunners to land him when he announces his college choice on Monday.
