Chris Lee and Blayne Gilmer preview Hugh Freeze’s first season with the Auburn Tigers in the 2023 season in SEC football.
Freeze will look to get the program back on track after a 5-7 season in 2022 and a 6-7 season in 2021.
The former Liberty and Ole Miss coach has had just one losing season (2016) in his head coaching career in college football, with the Flames winning eight or more games in each of his four seasons with the team.
He’ll aim to revamp an offense that scored only 24.8 points per game a season ago (87th nationally), but it won’t be easy with a schedule that features road trips to Texas A&M, LSU, and Arkansas, and home games against Georgia, Ole Miss, and Alabama.
