Memphis transfer guard Jamal Johnson has officially committed to Auburn.
Johnson revealed his decision via Twitter on Wednesday after announcing in early April that he would transfer following the coaching change.
Due to NCAA transfer rules, he will be forced to sit out the 2018-19 season and will have three years of eligibility remaining once he hits the court for the Tigers.

It was reported back in mid-April that Auburn had joined the mix in trying to land the 6-4 combo guard, UAB, Wofford, and Nevada also showing interest.
Johnson averaged 6.9 points and 3.3 rebounds while playing 26.5 minutes per game for Memphis last season.
He is no stranger to basketball in the state, as he played his high school basketball in Birmingham and is the son of Alabama legend Buck Johnson.
Bruce Pearl still has several unknowns on this year’s roster, with Jared Harper, Bryce Brown, Austin Wiley, and Mustapha Heron all declaring for the 2018 NBA draft.
Heron was the only player to express his intent to sign with an agent, but it was reported last week that he was still proceeding without an agent at this point.
Early entrants have until May 30 to withdraw from the draft process.
The Tigers went 26-8 overall this past season and captured a share of the SEC regular season title before advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
